Perch belongs to the Forest Island Beginner Lure pool with the Fishing Rod. It is a separate creature from Triggerfish even though the two share the same listed base value.
When you review the Forest section of your collection, check names rather than marking every similarly valued catch as complete.
Use the eighteen-coin reference
The recorded base is 18 coins. That is 4 above Salmon and 6 below Goldfish, before sale modifiers are applied.
