How this guide is maintained

Use the official announcement to check a change, the coverage note to understand a route, and the linked source to investigate a claim.

Reviewed updates

Site content is updated manually. News entries contain independent summaries and links to the developer’s original posts. The recorded snapshot below identifies the announcement archive’s coverage; it does not promise that this website is monitoring Steam continuously.

Recorded Steam snapshot

Patch 1.1.3; 15 announcements; recorded . Open the official sources for announcements after that date.

Gameplay evidence and historical values

The campaign reference retains compact facts from the site’s earlier research: creature names, recorded values, lure pools, quest requirements and equipment tables. Its known coverage is Patch 1.0.10 unless a page cites a later update. Those records are not a new test of every value in the current game.

The explanations, route advice and comparison tables are written for this guide. Rewriting a page does not by itself verify a gameplay claim. Official patch notes support the changes they explicitly describe; they do not confirm every historical number or the location of every item. Where a value is unknown, the guide leaves it unknown.

Screenshots, videos and reference media

Creature and equipment entries use the existing game images, and achievement entries display their achievement icons. Island pages and the map retain the island images and interactive 3D viewers alongside the written route notes. The campaign route diagram explains progression and is not to scale.

The video page includes the original trailer thumbnails and seven Steam screenshots. It loads the YouTube player only after a visitor chooses to play it. The original trailers and further screenshots are also available in the Steam gallery.

Count conventions

The launch-era directory has 43 ordinary creatures and 11 boss encounters. Later updates add creatures, so 54 is not presented as the current full Fishipedia count. Five islands means the campaign route; the newer small islets are covered separately. The achievement checklist contains the 31 entries reviewed in October 2026.

Corrections

Send the page address, the affected statement and a reproducible check or source to contact@how-to-fish.org. Substantive editorial revisions receive a new revision date. Routine builds do not manufacture fresh article dates, and an editorial date is not a claim of a new gameplay test.
