Use the regular Beginner Lure
Goldfish is an ordinary Forest Island catch using the Fishing Rod and Beginner Lure. A boss lure is not required by its recorded pairing.
It shares this setup with lower-value entries such as Piranha and Cod. Getting those fish does not show that a Goldfish-specific ingredient is missing.
High listed value is only one part of a money run
At 24 coins, Goldfish has the largest documented fixed base among the ordinary Beginner Lure entries in this table. Perch and Triggerfish are both 18, a difference of 6 coins.
Goby has no fixed value recorded, and the dataset contains no catch probabilities. The comparison therefore supports a value reference, not a guaranteed “best coins per minute” strategy.
