Move beyond the default pool
The recorded Cod setup is a Fishing Rod with Beginner Lure on Forest Island. Unlike Mackerel, Cod is not listed as a default-pool catch in this snapshot.
That distinction matters when the encyclopedia still has a Cod-shaped gap: repeating the bait-free setup is not the recorded route to this entry.
Compare the raw return
Cod’s recorded base is 10 coins. Mackerel is 6 and Salmon is 14, placing Cod between those two references before any bonuses.
