Route coverage: the documented Patch 1.0.10 progression baseline. Follow the objective and item names shown in your game; these notes do not claim a new playtest of the current patch.

Search on foot for the three pickups

The Forest request begins with three Leeches found on land. Regular casts are useful for supplies, but they do not replace this collection step. Walk the island route and keep all three pickups out of the sale pile.

Bring the completed set to the lady by the lake. Take the special Leech Bait from the exchange; a shop-bought Beginner Boss Lure belongs to a different encounter pool.

Spend the quest bait when supplies are ready

  • Choose a shoreline with space to move and collect the eventual drop.
  • Prepare food and a weapon before using Leech Bait.
  • Defeat Giant Piranha, then look for the distinctive quest result.
  • Carry that result back to the lake-side quest giver.
  • Confirm that the Desert route has opened before leaving Forest.

Diagnose the unfinished objective

If the first exchange does not advance, count the Leeches actually in your possession. If the boss is dead but the island route is still locked, check the hand-in instead. Keep the displayed quest drop even if a guide uses a different name for its body part.

The optional Sunfish and Old Pike fights are useful collection targets, but neither completes the Giant Piranha delivery.
