Halibut: location, bait and collection notes

Entity facts retain the guide’s Patch 1.0.10 snapshot (2026-08-28); the newly written notes are not a current-build playtest. Fixed values are raw bases, not guaranteed sale offers. Patch 1.1.3 adds bait display after a first kill in Fishipedia; use your current game to check a returning catch.

Use the ordinary Rocks lure

Halibut is listed under Fishing Rod plus Professional Lure on Rocks Island. The record does not require a boss lure or a quest-specific bait.

This ordinary setup can fill several Rocks collection gaps while you prepare for the separate Tuna and Albatross chain.

Separate the sale pile from the quest setup

Halibut’s recorded base is 290 coins: 10 above Eel, Sengarat and Red Snapper, and 20 below Tigerfish.

Those ordinary value comparisons should not be applied to the Tuna story decision. The Tuna body has a later use in the Albatross setup, so check the quest before selling a catch simply because its number is larger.
