- Intact Tuna body for Albatross
Campaign encounter facts cover the launch route reviewed for Patch 1.0.10. This rewritten guide is not a new gameplay test. Later updates add encounters; check Fishipedia and the update archive for your installed version.
Budget for two linked encounters
The dedicated route uses a Professional Boss Lure to catch Tuna. The recorded price is 1,200 coins; use the current vendor price when planning your own run. Buy ammunition and healing before committing the lure budget.
Tuna is grouped with the mini-boss encounters, but it also serves the campaign. Ordinary Professional Lure catches help fund this stage; none replaces the Tuna body required for the next trigger.
Pick the place where both fights can work
Find accessible ground where you can retrieve the defeated Tuna and later set up for a flying target. Clear clutter and avoid a placement near a cliff or awkward edge. In co-op, say explicitly that this body is reserved for the quest.
- Prepare a weapon and supplies for Tuna now.
- Keep the Albatross loadout available before placing the body.
- Keep selling, cooking and gambling away from the reserved quest catch.
Wait for readable movement instead of chasing every jump
Keep Tuna in view as it changes position. Use predictable landings and moments with a clear shot; reposition when its movement makes close pursuit unreliable. Maintain enough health to recover from an unexpected collision rather than gambling the whole lure on one final attack.
A historical patch adjusted Tuna’s balance, so this guide describes decisions rather than prescribing a launch-era damage sequence as current. Check your installed version when comparing old videos or speedrun advice.
Stop the sale workflow at the body
After the fight, keep Tuna intact. Place it on the ground when you are ready to attract Albatross, with the ranged weapon and supplies already prepared.
If your aim is progression, the next useful reward is the Albatross head and its hand-in. Tuna’s recorded sale value is not the goal of this chain.
