Campaign encounter facts cover the launch route reviewed for Patch 1.0.10. This rewritten guide is not a new gameplay test. Later updates add encounters; check Fishipedia and the update archive for your installed version.
Prepare the Tuna body as quest bait
Defeat Tuna and keep its body intact. Before putting it down to attract Albatross, complete your weapon and healing preparation. A body already assigned to this trigger should not be sold, cooked or gambled.
The ordinary Seagull is a separate creature with its own collection and achievement uses. Its presence around an island does not mean you have started the Albatross story encounter.
Choose sightlines you can keep using
Use an open area that gives you room to track the bird without repeatedly losing it behind scenery. A precision or automatic firearm can cover its distant movement; choose the one you can use reliably with your available ammunition.
Think about the end of the fight as well as the start. Bait placed where a trophy can fall into clutter creates an avoidable recovery problem.
Use passes for damage and turns for repositioning
Keep the bird in view and aim during a clear pass. Use the circling intervals to reload, heal or regain a better angle.
If you keep missing, change your position or wait for a more readable pass. Chasing underneath a flying target with short-range attacks can cost time without solving the angle. Keep tracking the target rather than firing repeatedly into an obstructed angle.
Secure the head before moving on
Recover the Albatross head, then return it to the islander for the next campaign destination. Volcano coordinates are the reward that advances this route.
If the next island is still unavailable after a kill, check the trophy and hand-in state first. Do not automatically spend on another Tuna lure before confirming which step is incomplete.
