Keep this purchase separate from the whale route
The reviewed Goblin Shark route uses a Scientific Boss Lure, with a recorded price of 5,800 coins. That is a substantial optional purchase. Check the current price and protect the funds for your weapon, healing and story objectives before committing.
Goblin Shark does not provide the Scientist’s Whale Bait and does not substitute for either whale phase. Ordinary Scientific catches are the farming pool; this shark is a distinct mini-boss target.
Budget the full attempt
Bring a capable weapon, enough ammunition and healing, and choose a place with a clear retreat route. Consider the whole attempt cost when deciding whether to do it during the campaign or on a cleanup visit.
If collection is the goal, confirm the entry is missing before spending. An already completed entry does not need another lure just because you have returned to Volcano.
Keep a safe route while applying steady damage
Maintain a usable gap and keep the target visible while attacking. Recover space before reaching an obstacle, and use healing when you can still control the encounter.
A large recorded catch value is not evidence that the fight is risk-free or profitable after all costs. This guide does not assign an unverified health value, lure drop chance or guaranteed earnings rate.
