Where the Dynamite fits

Dynamite costs $25 on the Forest route and is a disposable explosive with both combat and physics uses. Its blast affects an area, so planning the surrounding objects matters as much as choosing the target.

Prepare the purchase and the encounter

Move important quest objects away from the intended blast area before using it. On a story trip, a displaced trophy or carried trigger can be a larger setback than the price of the explosive.

In co-op, agree on the attempt before introducing a blast into a busy working area. Give the crew time to clear the objects they are handling and keep the target or physics experiment easy to observe.

Make the weapon work for the trip

For a combat attempt, choose the intended target and avoid mixing several unrelated goals into the same explosion. The Everyone’s dream achievement is associated with killing a Seagull using Dynamite.

For the boat-launch challenge, the I’m the bird now route uses the physics system to raise the boat at least ten metres. Set that up as a dedicated experiment with route-critical cargo secured, rather than making the attempt during an important hand-in.

Compare the complete setup

The catalog does not assign a fixed damage number because blast distance changes the result. It also does not provide a guaranteed placement formula for the boat challenge.

Patch 1.0.10 limited explosion velocity to reduce items being thrown so far that they disappeared. That is a documented change to the physics behaviour, not a guarantee that loose objects will remain conveniently within reach.

Store equipment deliberately

Patch 1.0.10 introduced saving for up to 64 ground items, with equipment, quest items and creatures among the priorities. It also added cleaning for cooked weapons and tools by dipping them in water. Treat ground storage as limited, and keep track of important equipment before ending a session.
