Entity facts retain the guide’s Patch 1.0.10 snapshot (2026-08-28); the newly written notes are not a current-build playtest. Fixed values are raw bases, not guaranteed sale offers. Patch 1.1.3 adds bait display after a first kill in Fishipedia; use your current game to check a returning catch.
Two lure tiers, one named entry
The Seahorse record lists both Standard Lure and Professional Lure with the Fishing Rod. Its main island reference is Desert, where Standard Lure belongs; the additional Professional pairing gives a later route to the same species.
The table does not record comparative odds for the two setups. Use the tier that fits the other creatures you need, rather than assuming the more expensive lure guarantees Seahorse.
Check the Tourist before selling
Seahorse is one of the reviewed trade choices for obtaining the Tourist’s Carrot. If that objective is still open, decide whether the catch belongs in the hand-in before treating its 100-coin base as spending money.
Needlefish is another listed trade choice with a 60-coin base. If both are available and accepted in your current game, their different sale values give you a concrete comparison when choosing which catch to keep.
