Special does not mean ground pickup
Sea Urchin’s category is Special, while its recorded encounter method is Fishing Rod plus Standard Lure on Desert Island. Do not apply the Clam or Foot Snail ground-pickup method simply because all three sit outside the ordinary fish category.
Check the bait and tool fields together when a creature’s category is unfamiliar. Here, those fields point back to the regular Desert fishing setup.
Include it in a creature checklist
A list containing only entries labelled Fish will miss Sea Urchin. Include the Special category when reviewing what remains to be collected.
Its recorded raw base is 52 coins, nearly the same as Yellow Boxfish’s 53. The category difference does not by itself establish a different sale formula.
