Entity facts retain the guide’s Patch 1.0.10 snapshot (2026-08-28); the newly written notes are not a current-build playtest. Fixed values are raw bases, not guaranteed sale offers.
Look beyond the fishing setup
Foot Snail is recorded as a ground pickup on Volcano Island. Its tool field is None, so buying another Scientific Lure is not the listed way to find it.
Add a ground check to a collection visit after reviewing the ordinary Scientific fish. Otherwise, a list organized only by rod bait can overlook this Special entry.
Do not compare collection importance with price
Foot Snail’s recorded base is 12 coins, far below the four-figure ordinary Volcano fish. That does not remove it from a species checklist.
The small base is a sale reference, not evidence that the entry is optional for your chosen collection goal. Keep “already recorded” and “worth selling” as separate decisions.
